Jomon - The Jomon period (Japanese: 縄文時代 Jōmon-jidai) is the time in Japanese history from about 10,000 BC to 300 BC.
Ancient Japan - Ancient Japan is a term used for the early periods of Japanese history. Depending on the historian, it includes or excludes the Japanese Paleolithic (Stone Age, 100,000 BC – 10,000 BC), as well as the Jomon (10,000 BC – 300 BC) and Yayoi (900 BC – AD 300) periods, which are named after their distinctive ceramics.
