Proton emission - Proton emission (also known as proton radioactivity) is a type of radioactive decay in which a proton is ejected from a nucleus. Proton emission can occur from high-lying excited states in a nucleus following a beta decay, in which case the process is known as beta-delayed proton emission, or can occur from the ground state (or a low-lying isomer) of very proton-rich nuclei, in which case the process is very similar to alpha decay.

Amplified spontaneous emission - Amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) is light, produced by spontaneous emission, that has been optically amplified by the process of stimulated emission in an gain medium.

Spurious emission - A spurious emission is any radio frequency not deliberately created or transmitted, especially in a device which normally does create other frequencies. A harmonic or other signal outside a transmitter's assigned channel would be considered a spurious emission.

Field emission - Also known as Fowler-Nordheim tunneling, field emission is a form of quantum tunneling in which electrons pass through a barrier in the presence of a high electric field. This phenomenon is highly dependent on both the properties of the material and the shape of the particular cathode, so that higher aspect ratios produce higher field emission currents.
