American Public Television - American Public Television (APT) is the largest of the television syndication distributors of programming for public television stations in the United States. It began in 1961 as the Eastern Educational Television Network and was the first distributor of shows such as The French Chef (with Julia Child), Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and Washington Week in Review to the rest of what was then National Educational Television (not yet PBS).

Latin American television - Latin American television broadcasting, has a model quite similar (but not identical) to the US commercial television. Unlike the US television network standards, in most countries of Latin America (but not in all countries) there are not television networks that provide programming for their affiliates.

American Federation of Television and Radio Artists - The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists AFTRA is a performer's union that represents actors in radio and television, much like the Screen Actors Guild does for movies, as well as radio and television announcers and newspersons, singers (both royalty artists and background singers), promo and voice-over announcers and other performers in commercials, and recording artists. The union currently (2005) has approximately 80,000 members in affiliated locals in major cities throughout the United States.
